Active Participation

Residents contribute to the trust's mission.

Beyond personal study, every resident takes part in the trust's broader work of Tattva Prachār — sharing the wisdom they receive, in the same spirit it was given to them.

Pravachan

प्रवचन

Sharing scriptural teachings — through discourses or study circles — under the guidance of senior scholars.

Poojan

पूजन

Participation in temple poojan, helping organize devotional activities at trust facilities and visiting events.

Vidhan

विधान

Active role in vidhan ceremonies — both as participant and, in time, as a learned facilitator for others.

Seva

सेवा

Trust-related seva — assisting at workshops, library, events, and the everyday running of trust activities.

A few hours each week — never burdensome, always meaningful. The teaching you receive becomes the teaching you carry forward.

Fully free for selected residents — there are no hidden fees, no security deposits, no monthly charges. Room, meals, and basic utilities are all covered by the trust as part of its commitment to making serious study accessible.
The minimum stay is one month. There is no fixed maximum — many residents stay for the duration of their Shastri or Acharya program (3–5 years), and self-study residents typically stay 6 months to a year, with extensions reviewed periodically.
Workshop participants are accommodated separately during their workshop dates as part of the residential workshop format — not through this Free Accommodation program. This program is specifically for long-term residents committed to extended study.
The daily rhythm exists for everyone's benefit and is generally followed by all residents. Morning sadhana and meal times are kept consistently. Study hours and other periods are flexible enough to accommodate individual study plans, but the broader structure is part of what makes the residency work.
Yes — a few hours of weekly Tattva Prachār seva are an expected part of resident life. The exact form (pravachan, poojan, vidhan, or seva) is matched to your skills and stage of study. It is never burdensome, and many residents find it the most meaningful part of their stay.
Of course — you are not confined. For any leave longer than a day, residents apply through the portal so the trust knows where you are and your room is accounted for. This is for your safety and the smooth running of the residence, not surveillance.
Visitors are welcome during designated hours, typically in common areas. Overnight stays for family or friends are not permitted in shared resident rooms. If you have specific circumstances (medical, etc.), please discuss with the facility coordinator.
Absolutely. Free Accommodation is open to anyone genuinely engaged in long-term study of Jain Darshan, traditional languages, or related disciplines — regardless of personal background. Sincere academic and personal commitment is the requirement.
